How to Tell When It’s Time for a New Garage Door?

We use our garages for various purposes, including as a workshop, for storage, and parking our vehicles. The garage door helps protect whatever we put in our garages. However, eventually, the garage door will wear out and need to be replaced.


As the door ages, there will be some telltale signs and reasons it’s time for you to consider a new residential garage door for your home, as follows:

#1: The door no longer opens and closes smoothly.


The door tracks can warp, wheels can wear out, and the opener’s motor starts to degrade, so it can no longer lift and close the door easily. To see if you need a new door or garage door opener, disengage the door from the opener, and see if you can open and close the door smoothly.
